Hey, we’re Jamie and Tyler, and little JJ, your co-Captians! Welcome to Sailing Sasa!
Inspired by how travel can open minds and broaden perspectives, we ditched the corporate world to start sailing the world and sharing our stories.
We hope to encourage others to step outside their comfort zones, embrace the unfamiliar, and connect with the world around them—because if we can do it, you can too.
MEET OUR CREW
CAPTAIN Tyler
At Sasa’s helm you’ll find Tyler, a certified Coast Guard Captain with over 10,000 hours and 15 years of offshore and ocean sailing under his belt. Whether it’s navigating tricky tides or plotting long-distance passages, he’s the calm in every storm and the guide you can trust at sea.

Co-captaining (and keeping things delicious) is Jamie, who’s racking up her own captain’s license with over 1,000 hours logged. She’s also our head chef, whipping up meals worthy of any harbor-side bistro, and our resident photographer capturing every sunset, splash, and spontaneous adventure.

Occasionally spotted on select family cruises is Captain-in-training, Jamie Jr. He’s here to show that sailing with kids isn’t just possible, it’s pure fun. JJ’s main duties include supervising snack time, keeping morale high, and reminding the adults not to take life too seriously.

Meet Sasa, our 56-foot home and charter adventure machine—steady, seaworthy, and ready for anything from quiet coastal cruises to big offshore passages.
Built in South Africa and extensively renovated to the latest comfort and safety standards, she’s as mighty as an offshore vessel comes.
Our family business runs Sasa like an extension of our floating home full of laughter, exploration, and a healthy dose of curiosity. Whether you’re joining us for a charter or following our journey online, we aim to make every voyage memorable, fun, and just a little bit magical.
